Summary :

In 1958, Poolmoo school was established by LEE Chan-gap in Hongseong area in order to revitalize Osan School which was called ‘minjok(nation) school’, the cradle of independence movement under Japanese rule.

Based on Mr. Lee’s experiences, a student co-op in Poolmoo School started its business of selling daily necessities. The co-op was recorded as the first co-operative established by people after independence.
