Brazilian Workgroup in charge of preparing
the events on "Solidarity Economy",
proposed to the main national and international
networks to participate in an International
Network of Promoters for the World Social
Forum III.
To enable a better communication, the WSSE
facilitated, as last year, an electronic forum
in French, English, Spanish and Portuguese,
with a strong Brazilian and French participation,
but also with participants of several countries
of Latin America (Argentineans, Chileans,
Columbians, Mexicans, Peruvians), of North
America (Canadians (especially Quebecois),
United States), of Europe (Belgians, Spaniards,
Dutchman, Italian), of Africa (Beninese, Cameroonian,
Senegalese) and of Asia (India, Malaysie,
Philippines).
The Promoters Network could thus
organize a common program including:
The process of synthesis was the subject
of a collective work particularly well coordinated.
For each topic there was a working group,
then a group gathering the representatives
of every topic and an overall team of synthesis,
that worked a half-day before the final round
table.
The general summary of the events on the
economy of solidarity was presented by Carola
Reintjes and Marcos Arruda, at the time of
the Panel of Synthesis of the first of the
5 main themes (Axis 1) of the WSF "Democratic
and sustainable development", animated
by Walden Bello.
