Social Solidarity Economy (SSE) refers to the production of goods and services by a broad range of organizations and enterprises that have explicit social and, often, environmental objectives (UNRISD, 2018). SSE involves a wide range of stakeholders that range from cooperatives, mutual societies and any other form of social enterprise. Co-hosted by the Global Social Economy Forum (GSEF), this panel aims to discuss the ways in which SSE, broadly conceptualized impacts our ability to implement and localize the crosscutting nature of the SDGs in an Asian context specifically. This panel will have two session, a morning and afternoon panel.
