Money Network Alliance (Monneta.org)

The Money Network Alliance was founded in 2003, in response to the need for a professional networking entity for research, development and the support of complementary currencies and new money systems. It also functions as an internet-portal to collect and give structure to the ever-increasing data related to these subjects.

Since the worldwide financial crash in 2008, MonNetA observes an increasing number of visitors to its website and receives more and more letters of inquiry from people looking for alternatives to the current, unstable financial system. We are here to offer support in the search for better solutions to money-systems, and it is clear there are many options.

MonNetA’s aims are:

• to research and inform how complementary currencies can contribute to the solution of social, economic and ecological problems on a local, regional, national and international scale.

• to support the activities of persons, initiatives and networks, which aim to use complementary currencies to overcome social polarization in rich and poor people, unemployment and pollution.

MonNetA also has a comprehensive library available and records documentaries on German Television, dealing with the issues of currencies, money systems and financial markets.
