Murray Bookchin

Murrray Bookchin was a noted anarchist theorist whose ideas influenced many in the realm of new economic thinking with such books as Towards an Ecological Society, The Limits of the City, and Post-Scarcity Anarchism, among others. He pioneered what he termed “social ecology,” integrated anarchist and environmentalist thought towards a vision of decentralized, small-scale communities and systems of production. He was a professor at Goddard College and Ramapo College and founder of the Institute for Social Ecology.
